The Jall Diary Day 3 (Filming Process)

On Saturday 23rd we completed the final scene to our opening at Little Waltham Park. This video shows our comments on how we did and the location that we filmed at. Although we didnt have any problems whilst filming, after getting feedback from our teacher she said that in our planning and casting information contridicts that cast that we used in the film. As we were unable to use a male character we had to use a female. This isnt a major problem as we will be able to write about this in the evaluation.

Filming Day three

On Saturday 23rd of January we as a group went down to Little Waltham Park in order to film the park and running scenes. We were there for no more than an hour and a half, which was a very good point as we had a lot to film, yet we got it done quickly, effectively and to a standard that we were all happy about. The other good points to the filming day were that we had no disturbance from any members of the public which was a particular concern of ours, as it is located in a fairly open area where many people go walking. We put signs up saying that there was filming in process and we apologised for any inconvenience caused. I think this was a very strong point of our filming session as we were fully prepared for all possible events. We were also very prepared with props, costumes and equipment which enabled us to be very ready to film and get on with the tasks we needed to carry out.

Some things that we could have improved on would be, we should have experimented with the feet running scene in order to be prepared and know exactly what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it. However this was one of the only problems that we faced and on the whole the day went very well.

We have now finished all of our filming and can get on with editing and ensuring that all our work and planning is complete.

First Film Edit

We have been working on editing our footage over the past few days. We have all been working together and individually to select the right clips, and making sure that it all fits together well. We are continuing to edit our film and add in titles and other details and effects, before we make our final checks and create the final edit.

Today we filmed the couple scene with our protagonist. This video shows our thoughts on the filming process and what we thought went well and what we thought we could have inproved on. Overall we managed to work well as a group completeing the filming to a high standard.

The Jall Diary Day 1 (Filming Progress)

Today we filmed the staffroom scene of our opening. Here you can see us discussing the complications and strengths of the process. We worked very well as a group and got the filiming done to a high standard and worked very efficiantly.

Final Gantt Chart

This is our Final Gantt chart before we begin filming. The purpose of the Gantt Chart is to keep a record of when each task is completed in order to ensure effective time keeping. It also shows who completed each project so we can make sure each group member is contributing equally.

Location Scouting

Before we could film our final piece we needed to investigate different places in which we could film. We wanted to consider various different things, the accessability of the location, the lighting and most importantly the mise-en-scene of the original location. From this we could decide as a group where we want to film and then concut a location scouting page explaining our reasoning behind the locations.
